A busy week with lots going on!
Yesterday we headed to Towcester with 4 runners; a busy but successful day. Wonga Swinger jumped well throughout and was travelling well before getting stuck in the mud, soon he'll have a handicap mark and we hope to find a suitable race for him where he'll find life a lot easier.
More Than Luck ran a good race in the end considering he never really traveled, the ground conditions were a bit softer than he'd have liked and he's a horse we are always learning about each time he runs. He is definitely a horse for the future and one I'm particularly looking forward to seeing over a fence.
Jamrham put in another solid performance jumping and travelling strongly throughout only to be denied by the narrowest of margins. He will have a little time to freshen back up now before we look for his next target.
Stowaway Rose had her first run in the mares bumper for the syndicate JPW Racing and breeders Frank Motherway, she ran with the choke out for the early part of the race before getting tired on the testing ground. She will have learned so much from her first outing and we will look to get her out again when she's ready. All four horses are sound and well this morning, and are enjoying a quieter day.
The youngster's did their first bit of work on the grass on Saturday, they all worked really well and we are very pleased with how they are coming on. Some of the older horses did some jump schooling today, they are in good form and nearly ready to run.
