The start of 2017...

Harry Beswick being legged up onto Fort Smith

Our last runners for 2016 were Miss Giselle and Spring Pools, they ran at Warwick in the Mare's Novice hurdle. Unfortunately they both hated the ground and pulled up but they have come out of the race well and we will now take our time to find something to suit them both in the near future. Miss Giselle has since been given a handicap mark of 93, which looks very harsh on what she has achieved over hurdles so far but we'll be patient and try to find something to suit her.

We kicked off 2017 with More Than Luck running at Hereford on Wednesday, he ran a good race and we feel he is a horse that will benefit from a longer trip and better ground. He should now get a handicap mark, which should make life a little easier for him. Fort Smith ran at Sandown on Saturday but was never at the races, we plan on giving him a few days hunting now to freshen him up as he's a horse with stacks of ability but doesn't always like to show it on the track!

I am delighted that Steve Howell has bought Not A Role Model, he is in great form and we are looking forward to getting him out on the track in a bumper very soon. We only have one horse in the yard left for sale which is the athletic son of Goldwell who's just turned 4, he is a lovely horse who has started to show us what might be in stall for us in the future with some very pleasing gallops on the grass gallops. For more details on him or for shares available in other horses on the yard have a look at our Horses For Sale page or call Sam directly on 07929101751.
