All systems go....

The Cannister Man

It has been all systems go here at Saxon House Stables, with plenty going on to keep us all busy! We recently brought The Cannister Man from Ascot Sales, he has been successful in his point to point runs in Ireland finishing 2nd in his most recent one. I am pleased to report he has been bought by Keith Ali and Eamon Murchan, two new owners to have joined the team, we are looking forward to running this lovely big young horse next season.

Powerstown Park

Powerstown Park is our newest recruit to join the string, he is a lovely young horse by Craigsteel that has been placed 1st and 3rd in his two point to point starts. He has settled in well at Saxon House and will now have a well deserved summer holiday before starting next season off with a NH flat race. There are shares available in this exciting horse, more information can be found on Horses for Sale page.

Lambourn Open day

Good Friday saw us opening our gates to the public for Lambourn Open Day, it was great to see such a good turnout throughout the morning. The afternoon was jam packed with a variety of activities, where Sam bought back childhood memories getting involved in the mounted games! A great day to help promote racing and let everyone meet the horses, they certainly enjoyed their day getting plenty of carrots!!

Wonga Swinger after his win
Caprice D'Anglais and connections looking very pleased after his run

Wonga Swinger ran a cracking race at Plumpton on Monday to secure a win for the yard, he certainly has appreciated the sunshine and definitely preferred the good ground. It was great to get a win on the board for his connections Raso Hedd Win Racing, who have been long term supporters of the yard. Caprice D'Anglais who is owned by Bart Beswick ran at Fakenham, he ran a blinder to finish up 3rd. This horse has proved he is an exciting new addition to the team, and we look forward to running him again in the near future.

We have recently set up a racing club and 50 shares are available in Oscars Little Rose, if you are interested in getting involved then please visit the Sam Thomas Racing Club page on the website for more information. Shares of other horses available can be found on the Horses for sale page.
