Back amongst the winners!

Saturday the 14th saw a comeback for many ex jockeys who rode in the Bob Champion charity race including myself! The annual event was held at Chepstow and saw many famous faces back in the saddle who travelled far and wide to take part in the 2 mile flat race. A 3 hour drive to collect my steed was not in vain as he duly obliged giving us the the win by the narrowest of margins! A big thank you to Jenny Candlish who let me ride him and an even bigger thank you to everyone that supported me helping me reach my target of £1000, in all over £25k was raised for The Bob Champion Cancer Trust!

We've recently made some entries for some of our bumper horses and it will be very exciting to see them on the racecourse after all the hard work that has gone into them over the past year. Golden Friday will hopefully run on Wednesday for owner Anthony Brooke Rankin a lovely son of Gold Well who we bought last June at Goffs.

Clipping is in full flow now which is keeping us very busy in the afternoons and it's great to see the horses looking so well in their skins and long may it continue!

Lady Knight ran at Stratford for us which was her first run for us, unfortunately we couldn't improve on her past form and she will now be retired and will most certainly do another job in a different discipline. She was our first runner for our new yard sponsors The Pheasant Inn and it was great to be able to show off our new paddock sheets and jackets, lets hope it's not long before we get to show them off in the winners enclosure!
