The season is underway...

Golden Friday in the paddock

The ball is definitely rolling now, with several of our horses having had their first runs of the season. We started off with a trip to Fakenham with Not a Role Model making his debut over hurdles, he ran a very promising race and seems to have come on for the run, we will look to get him out again in the next few weeks. Golden Friday had first ever run in the NH flat race, you would think he had been doing it all his life, taking it all in his stride and running a very creditable race, staying on to the line.

Breeze Along had his first run for us last week at Southwell in the 2m chase, it was a good chance to learn a bit more about him. We were happy with how he went and feel he could run a good race in the right company. Warwick Beswick's Dancing Doug made a good start to his racing career finishing 4th in the NH flat race, an exciting future ahead with this son of Kalanisi. Royal Magic had his first run under rules on Thursday in the very competitive looking NH flat race at Newbury, he ran a very creditable race to finish a respectable 6th place. It was great to see so many of the Luke Harvey

Racing Club there to cheer him on. We are thinking of putting a second horse into the Racing Club, please get in touch if you'd be interested in getting involved!

We have had several owner mornings the last few weeks, a great opportunity for owners to see their horse in action and have a catch up with Sam and the team. Diamond Racing brought 30 members for a morning on the gallops and a bacon roll, albeit the weather everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We are thrilled to announce their latest purchase is Little Allstar, it will be exciting times ahead with two lovely young horses in Little Allstar and Iwilldoit.

We had Jack Sherwood and Will Featherstone in on Thursday, it was a good opportunity to school some of the babies. They seemed to enjoy the change of scenery and the ones who hadn't done it before soon got the hang of it!

Here is a video of Arakan and Mega Mind having a school, the Arakan 3 year old is for sale, get in touch for more information!

Musical Stardust

We didn't have any runners this weekend so instead enjoyed a team outing on Friday night to bowling and pizza hut, a good opportunity to get everyone together for a bit of a social! Sam then took an over night trip to Ireland for sales, it was a successful trip purchasing two new young horses, watch this space more information to follow!

We have another busy week ahead with a few runners, Musical Stardust will start us off tomorrow at Lingfield for the mares bumper, it is her first run and it will be a learning curve for her, we are excited to get her on the track.
