Christmas is fast approaching
The week started off with a trip to Plumpton with 2 runners, Not a Role Model ran in the Novice Hurdle, he jumped well throughout the race, just getting tired near the end on ground that would not be best suited for him. He has come out of the race well and we will look to get him out again in the next few weeks. Glentrool made his racecourse debut in the bumper, he ran a very pleasing race staying on well to the line to finish 3rd. He is a horse that travels all day long on the soft ground, we look to find another bumper for him in the new year where hopefully he can get his head in front. There is 50% ownership available of this exciting 4 year old, if you would like more information please do get in touch.
The horses are all going very well at home, great to see so many of them holding their condition with a good shine to their coat. The 3 year old's are coming on nicely, they had their first schooling session this morning on the all weather strip. They are progressing nicely and we'd like to think they will be ready to run in a few months time.
One of the big bonuses of being in Lambourn is the easy access to a variety of facilities, here is a video of one enjoying a water treadmill session at Jamie Magee's yard, a facility that is within walking distance!
Last night we had our staff Xmas party, it consisted of an enjoyable evening out to Swindon greyhound's, some being more successful than others with picking out the winners!
Our next runners will be on Boxing Day, we have several entries in place so we will make a decision in the next few days as to who runs where.
I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and fingers crossed I'll be reporting about a winner after Boxing day!
