Starting the New Year as we mean to go on!

2019 is looking to have started better than 2018 finished with Iwilldoit winning easily at Bangor on Tuesday under the inform Charlie Deutsch! We have had a quiet spell of things over the last month or so with the horses just not quite bouncing how we would like them to be. It has meant there has been lots of work behind the scenes getting them all back to 110%, thank you to all the staff for their continuous hard work and thanks to our loyal owners for being very understanding of the situation.

It does seem the horses are now starting to come back to form which is great to see and fingers crossed Iwilldoit's win is the springboard for the rest of the year! It was brilliant to get a winner for loyal owners Diamond Racing, who are a great racing club to be involved with and have supported us for the past couple of seasons. He was bred by Stan Brown a long standing family friend of Sam's family and it was Stans late father Reg who was responsible for providing Sam with his first ever winner under rules!

We have some lovely young horses which we are really looking forward to getting out on the track in the coming months for their racecourse debuts, as well as the older horses who have had a run or two already this season and will most definitely come on for the runs.

This week we have taken several trips down the beach with various horses, it is a great education for the young horses making them think on their feet and a great way to build up some stamina! We also have been taking horses to Ed Bailey's grass gallops just outside Ross on Wye, with its tight bends and undulations it's perfect at putting the finishing touches on them. All credit to Edd who has built the grass gallops from scratch over the past 12 months and this is something we will be continuing to use the in the future.

Fingers crossed things are all on the up now and we can start firing out some winners in 2019!
